Richard Gilmore Loftus has lived in Majorca, Spain and Dublin, Ireland,
and spent many of his 57 summers on Lake Michigan. Graduating from the
University of Wisconsin with a degree in English Literature, he moved to
New York in 1978 where he resided until sixteen years ago. His first collection
of poetry, Ralph, was published in 1993,
his second, I Should Have Killed You in Bayonne,
in 1994, a third, Houdini in 1996, and most recent, Memento Mori, in 2001.
